Royal Fail
Oct 08, 2009 by Joseph Reeves
Royal Mail recently demanded the closure of a useful web based postcode API because they thought it was a cause of suffering to their business. Not long after Amazon cancelled their Royal Mail account (their second biggest, worth about £25 million) because of recent strike activity.
The conclusion? Giving people access to publicly funding data doesn't lose you business; losing the support of your staff and customers through strike action does. Royal Fail are obviously finding it hard to keep up in the modern world.
